Have not had my stereo on in months, and the power lite will come on, but the tuner display wont' light up and nothing will work on it. It's been in storage and no way it could have gotten fried. The fuse looks intact. The model number is CX ZL520. thanks!
Depending on how it was stored (temperature controlled?) it can be damaged while stored although I suspect the power supply is just refusing to start up. You didn't list the model number so I can't check to see if it uses a switched-mode power supply. If it is relatively new, it probably does and they can be finicky if using cheap capacitors in the wrong areas.
Sorry! I just saw the model number as it was already underway. I'll check to see if I can find info on it.Sorry! I just saw the model number as it was already underway. I'll check to see if I can find info on it.
