Look around the accelerator cable for like a little twisty knob thing that controls the throttle and turn it up a little bit. Basically opens the cabs up and lets a lil more fuel in making the rpm a lil higher and should prevent it from stalling. As for the hard to start problem, Try usung the choke a bit and if that fails give it some gass(if the throttle has been opend and closes when off it may be flooded or try replacing the starter motor and battery.
