Having difficulty with assembly of handlebar on 12 in. so sweet huffy bike. There is a plastic piece on the portion of the handlebar that should fit in the frame. I'm not sure if this should be removed or if we need to remove hardware on the frame to accomodate the handlebar piece. Anyone out there have any tips?

Finally I could fit the handlebar for the Huffy 12" cycle. The manual which I got with this bike was useless as it was for CoasterBike and did not have any information on assembling this bike.Yes, we have to remove the plastic piece which is at the bottom-portion of the handle bar. You can use a plier/wrench to rotate and remove it. Difficult to remove/rotate with hand, atleast for me. Once removed, just insert the handlebar to the fork-type frame of the front wheel. It may feel that its not the right way at first, but its properly desined/engineered this way. After holding the small metallic portion with the frame, tighten the nut with a plier/wrench. You will notice that the handle is making its grip tight. There your kid will now be happy. After a little struggle and a delay finally I'll be giving my daughter her first bike tomorrow as a surprise..(I had to return the Princess bike as she insisted on Dora...Oh Dora!!!Finally I could fit the handlebar for the Huffy 12" cycle.
