Having trouble getting the kneading paddle on the post. Does not seem to fit. Is ther anything special I need to do other than push it on?

One side of the post is kind of flat and the other side is round. You need to line up the flat side of the hole in your paddle with the flat side of the post and then it should slip right on. You know that old saying " you put a square peg in a round hole" that is kind of what is going on with your paddle and post ....the 2 flat sides of the paddle and post have to be aligned.
