Having trouble with a touch lamp. I.e. low-medium-high-off with the successive taps on the base of the lamp. Will not turn on at all. Can a person replace the switch mechanism? John

Can't see why not , can you take the switch apart ? If so could just be a loose wire that is not making contact.
