My external Hard drives do not work in my laptop except one which is WD Elements 2tb I have tried 4 other HDD 2TB which are also WD but they show up only in device & printers ONLY but the THEY work in other laptops and work on TVS but they do not work on my laptop ? USB flash drives all work and I have tried 128gb all work fine. Microsoft has advised me to factory reset my laptop but I know there must be an easier solution ? USB port 3.0 does not function but everything was fine until upgrade to windows 10 then my laptop played up and touch screen stopped working. Microsoft helped and put me back to windows 8 and my laptop updated to 8.1 then USB port 3.0 stopped working .but touch screen works now but can not use other external HDDS on this laptop
