HDD both IDE or SATA 1 are not recognized
I am having a problem with the HDD being recognized and a brand new KV-80
. HDD#1(brand new Western Digital) connected to IDE and was working fine. Installed WinXP Home w/SP3. Customer took it home and then called me to tell me that when they booted it up, they received the error disk not found. They brought it back and they were right and wrong. I got it to boot but then while playing a card game the system shut down. When I try to reboot it, I recieve disk not found. BIOS does not show a HDD
Things I've done.
Replaced PSU (no change)
Put the HDD#1 as a slave on another computer and it was recognized.
Connected a SATA HDD and it is not recognized.
Any and All help will be appreciated.

Unplugg the disk from motherboard and reboot your computer
Shut off the computer, connect the drive again and start up again.
If the problem continue, set the drive on your bios manually.
If after that the problem continue replace the disk.
