HDMI out to Olevia 527 TV = Blue Screen
Hi, the subject line says it all: I've got a dvd player hooked to the receiver using composite connection, and then HDMI out from the receiver to the only HDMI in on my Olevia TV. The HDMI is working enough that I can use the on-screen guide from the receiver, but I can't get the picture from my dvd player to appear. (DVD does work if I hook up the tv to receiver via composite.) Any ideas?

Hi beelzyboob.. try checking these.. since you are using the RCA (composite cables) and I assume you have them on the "DVD in" at the back, go to setup, go to input assignment and go to hdmi input. here, make sure dvd is set to" ----". Next, hit return and go down to component input and also check if dvd is set to "-----". With these settings, you should get video. This is because you are not using either an HDMI or component cable. hope this helps.. ^_^
