Heat & AC blower (fan) does not come on. Just
Heat & AC blower (fan) does not come on. Just bough truck, when lever moved to far right (high) it did not work but all lower settings worked fine. Now, fan does not come on at all. I hear the vacuume & duct controls moving, the ac button when engaged starts the compressor. Just no blowing fan. I am suspecting the control rather than the fan itself. Just not positive. Started to remove the control but difficult to see how to disconnect electrical, and what i assume to be vaccuume lines. it just does not pull out far enough before electrical wires wont go any farther. what can i do further to troubleshoot and/or how do disconnect?

Hi just had a problem with blower on my 96 dakota, it turned out to be a resistor under the hood on the passenger side it has one plug ... close to the fender on the firewall, 2 screws hold it in take it out , will have coils on back the runs the blower , good luck
If it worked on some settings and not on others then the blower motor resister has gone bad. its mounted on the heater box near the fan about half way up the heater box. they are cheap and easy to change. give that a try first
