Heat pump. Model# 661CJ030-A. Problem: Air conditioner not cooling,fan comes on,there is a click and a hum but compressor doesn't come on to cool. Does thermostat have anything to do with this or could you please tell me something that might be wrong. Thanks [email protected]

Found charge capacitor top ballooned replaced with a universal capacitor found at a local appliance repair shop system works like a champ capacitor is located behind the interior electrical panel after removing the side panel
If the compresor doesn't start ,try to put a booster to the capacitor , also check for burned wires at the compresor terminals , if still won't run it is burned out or stuck.
