Heater ignites properly, but gives off smoke & fumes, and then shuts down after about 15 or 20 seconds, can you help? heater is reddy mod 170T. worked fine one day & started this the next. Thanks, Mike ([email protected])

Sounds like a clogged orifice or obstruction in the the fuel line
Would also check the photo eye. Take cover off pull it loose from brackit and the shine a light in it and see if this works, if it does then reposition eye so that it gets a better view of the flame.
