Heater turns on and then turns back off after about 30 seconds
I have what I think is a Goodman GMV95/GCV9. I base that on seeing a manual online and it looks like the same heater. My heater is installed in the upflow position.
This is the first time I attempted to use it since spring. I am not sure if we are just not following proper procedure but all we do is turn the thermostat to cool in the spring.
Here are the syptomps.
Turned the thermostat to heat and set the temperature to about 74. Got not heat. Turned off the thermostat and turned it back on again and looked at the heater. I could see it glowing through the sight glass and then it would turn off and start backup again. It did this twice while I saw it but I am assuming it did it three times and then went into lockout mode. The led from the lower glass flashes once.
We had this same problem last year and a technician came out and said our filter was dirty. I tried changing the filter and then i cleaned the flame sensor with steel wool and tried to fire it back up again. It went through the same process of glowing through the upper sight glass, cycled a few times and then went back into lockout. Is there anything else I can try to fix this problem.

I found a fix to my problem. Hope this helps someone. There is a hose that goes from the pressure switch to the blower. I saw some internet post about others solving a problem by using a paper clip to clear it out. My hose is a little too big for a paper clip as I think they were referring to a different model. I pulled off the hose and blew through it and some water came out. I then put the hose back in and started up the unit and fired up right away.
