Hello everyone artist friends. Iwanted to know .What is the most suitable setting for working in a studio with an external flash? My camera is Nikond7100
Nikon camera with external flash of 300.Area Studio space is 12 square meters.Height from floor to ceiling is 2 meters. The problem with my photos is that the histogram curves are not uniform. Could there be a lack of ambient light?

Lighting is everything. what types of flash are you thinking of? Speedlights? monolight? or the really big guys? I am assuming speedlights which are the strobe you would normally put on top of your camera hot shoe. You can get an umbrella kit to create a large uniform light with a Speedlight.
Something like this:

This is the most inexpensive way to start.
The best way to learn is to just play around with the lights. you need at least 2
Good luck
