It helps that you said it was " in storage". I am assuming the unit runs on gasoline. If so, it is probable the gasoline has turned to gummy deposit and the carburetor must be rebuilt. This is common with any gasoline engine that sits for a long period of time. I have this problem with my 2 generators. In the future, if this was the problem, the gasoline must be drained out at the very start of the "storage" time. God bless your efforts.
