Hello, I have a problem with a Optiplex GX260. I added a hard drive and for some reason the thing gets stuck saying that the bootmngr is compressed .hit cntrl+Alt+delete to restart... I restart and of course it says it again and I can't do anything.. I can get into boot sequence under F2.. but when I boot the primary second harddrive is not found so it says click F1 to continue or f2 to goto setup.. if I click F1 it says "click F1 to continue or F2 to goto setup" again and then it beeps and the keyboard goes off and then it says.. hit any key to boot from CD rom.. but the keyboard just died so I can't and then it says.. BootMngr is compressed hit Alt+Cntrl+delete

For this message is a simple solution reinstal the O.S., there is a way but is more complecated and did not always work,anyway you say that you added other hard did you configure it in bios and did you check the cables if they are connected properly if so then you should have no problem instaling the O.S.
I believe somehow the boot partition has been messed up try repairing the same...
