Hello, I have a Windows Vista which was hit by Winupgro (which incidentally Norton allowed in). It knocked Norton out and I had to uninstall Norton and cleanout the virus through checksum analysis (the onlys solution for this kind of virus). The machine is virus-free and I have been trying to install Norton. It starts installation and gives a message that it cannot continue install since a fime MSXML cannot be installed. When I click on continue, it starts installing and then when it comes to sending error messages to Norton, it hangs I don't know what to do apart from formatting the machine and reinstalling Vista. Please help. Contacting Norton is like climbing up a Teflon wall, no reply. Raymond

Normally, if you gave been hit with a major Viurs I would recommend that you get all your data off and reinstall. It is the only way of really being sure that the system is clean and fully operational. Take a look at AVG instead of norton.
