Hello, I have charged the barcode scanner WASP WWS500 for at least 4 hours, as specified, but once I unplug it, I cannot seem to turn it on. (When it's charging, the green light is on) Help please :) Thanks

This might sound dumb, but how do I change the battery ? I managed to open the bottom part once, but it was only some kind of ethernet connector.

Hi again, the specific model has the battery under the handle.
In order to open the handle there are 2 possible ways (I do not have the specific model so I list both ways): a) reveal the screws under some labels of the handle and unscrew them, b) use a thin and hard plastic stick (like the ones used to open appart a mobile phone) and put it at the crack between the 2 plastic pieces of the handle. Slide it along the crack and so it will be uncliped.
BUT, perhaps your guarantee is still valid. So, why don't you call the technical assistance at (214) 547-4100 ext 2, Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM Central Standard Time. Or visit www.waspbarcode.com/support and describe your problem.
They could replace the model! you have to do that BEFORE opening the handle.Hi again, the specific model has the battery under the handle. Perhaps the battery has moved (due to a shock of the device) and is not connected (as it should be in the device).
Open the device and check that the battery is connected properly.
Then try to recharge.
Also, it's a good idea to remove the battery and test (with a voltometer) that it has some voltage.
Finally, if the battery was used for a long time or charged too often (without the battery being fully decharged), you might have to replace it.
If I were you, I would replace it with a stronger battery. according to specs, WWS500 have a 700mA battery, I would put a 100mA battery instead.
