Present.we do not really know what is the nature of the problem but the computer seemingly needs a clue of some kind in order to give up a menu,the which we have not seen even yet.we can't be the first ones with this and we would totally be appreciative of any help---trashyharry

If you have trouble connecting your mp3 player to your computer, you can always try this --it definitely works on my computer;
1) turn on your mp3 player,
2) push the 'power slider' downward to put it on hold,
3) press on the left of the wheel as if you were to go to the previous song,
4) wait until the 'blue rectangle with the lock' flashes once,
5) plug in your mp3 player to your computer,
6) wait for a few seconds, and a menu should pop-up
