Somewhere is an "orifice" that will fix the problem. This part, if it is accessible, should be near the end of the pipe where the gas is attached to the heater. Orifices have tiny holes of different sizes depending on the type of gas and pressure used. Even if you find the orifice and managed to remove it, finding a different one for a different gas may not be easy, or impossible. Be blessed.
