Hello Truetech I have a truetech PLV 16320 one day it just shut off and never turned back on again. I tried to look for people that could repair it but everyone says that they can't fix this name brand. what should i do?
I had the same problem with my son's TV. I took 70JUDGE's advise and replaced all the electrolytic capacitors on the power supply board. Several of them were bulged out from the bottom, It solved the problem.
Open the back of the TV,and look at the can shaped items on the board that the power cord is hooked to.If any of them have the tops,or bottoms bulged out, they need to be replaced. This should get it working again.I hope this helps. If you have any other questions, please let me know.Thank You very much!
It could be the main fuse thats blown , before taking the tv to a TV repairman , open TV and look for a cystal tube fuse , check and replace , it could save you some $$$ if you can do it yourself , hope it helps AJ
