HELP!!! Help wiring new motor for CKL60-1
Hi - Per your recommendation, a new condensor fan motor was purchased. It's an AO Smith - FSE1026SV1 (Replacing an AOSmith F48F97A86) they also provided a new capacitor - small 2 post about the size of 2 C-cell batteries.

Everything is exactly the same except amps on new motor was 1.8 vs old at 1.5. Everywhere I looked showed this as a good replacement.

I wired it up and it ran fine for several minutes and then shut off. (the old one was replaced becuase it would run about 60-90 minutes and then stop - concensus seemed to be bearings....

I am hoping I just have something wired wrong. There are two capacitors,, one is just smaller than soda can and has 3 terminal - marked herm, fan and blank. The smaller is the one that was replaced, it has two terminals and neither was marked.

Old wiring Fan had Black, Brown, and Purple.

Yellow compressor wire on "HERM" terminal, was also jumpered to the fan capacitor. (call this term 1).

There is a red wire from the contactor to the unmarked terminal on the larger cap.

The purple wire was connected to term 1 on the smaller capacitor and the brown wire was connected to the second terminal (term 2) on the smaller capacitor.

New wiring - Fan has Black, Yellow, Brown and Brown/White.

The Large capacitor and Jumper to Term1 stayed the same
Yellow Fan (replaced purple) went to Term 1 on small capacitor
Brown went to Term 1 on small capacitor
Brown/White went to Term 2 on small capacitor.
