Hey guys i have a galaxy 44v, i had two radio checks, on guy said it sounded like i had a pin on my nose and one said i was a little distorted, so what is going on the radio, is dead keying 0.5 watt and swinging 15 watts so could it be , i think it my be the mike, thanks guy any help is great. thanks happy new year to all

That radio is clipped and producing as much audio it can and in the process it is also a big splatter box. If you produce 4 watt of carrier and swing 6-7 it will be kinder one everyone ears around you.In other words make sure tr 32 is intact, r49 is not clipped and the amc is not turned wide open.should be marked am mod.I am a Ham Radio Operator that has 15 years of motorola experience.
