Hey, I have a Onkyo TX-D777 Receiver that has a problem and am hoping someone can help. The receiver will come on sometimes and then it will go into protect mode and not come on again. If I let it sit for a while it might come back on. Thanks Pauline

It sounds like you have bad solder connections on the audio output ic's junction points, it's also possible the internal ic,s might be breaking connection which would explain the intermittent operation of the receiver. But to be on the safe side check your speaker and wiring connections very carefully on the back of your receiver. If that does not do it you will need a technician to carefully go through your system and make any necessary repairs.
