Hey, I just had a Flotec Series FP4300 installed for my well and the manual says that it should go to 50psi and turn off, but the pressure gauge stays at 30psi and does not go any higher so it just keeps running. All the faucets are closed and I don't see any pipes leaking. Is there a way to adjust the pressure switch? Dave,
Yes, the previous post can also cause low pressure. The jet valve could be leaking. Also adjust bladder pressure to 28 psi, I gave you a ball park setting that is for a smaller, lower pressure pump. Hope this helps. Good luck I will check back to see if this fixes your problem.Ok, Just one adjustment in the electrical box. One full turn equals- 21/2 psi, so you would need 8 full turns to raise to 50psi.
I have also had bladders that were stuck and folded over, this also can cause a low pressure reading on the guage. If this is the case then you will have to take the top off the tank and unfold/unstick the bladder and recharge to 28 psi, or the pressure that your manual suggests.
