Using HHP 3800g Linear Imager (Barcode Scanner), changed cable from PS2 To USB. Device detects and installs on machine and is visible in windows device manager (Under Windows 7). My client is running XP and is experiencing the same problem as me. Device beeps normally when scanning from the sample barcodes or the barcode on my pack of smokes, but the characters are not being sent to notepad (My infallible test program). What can I do to solve this?? Manufacturer support not an option.
