Hi, every now and then my bmw 116d 2012 will smoke for about 20seconds when driving, then wont do it for days or even weeks.does anyone have any ideas, many thanks

What colour smoke.Can be valve stem seals.Can be brake master cylinder leaking fluid sucking into inlet manifold

Oil is blue smoke, excess fuel is grey antifreeze burns white.
