Hi, I cannot reset my Edimax 7206apg Wirelss Acces Point using the button in the back. (I pressed it for over 4 seconds as the manual says) Unfortunately something got screwed up when I cloned the MAC address and I cannot access it via the web browswer with address 192.168.2.1 and I want to reset it to company defaults? My Edimax EW-7206APg was not accessible too. Last thing i did was MAC cloning. Factory reset button didn't work, no matter how long I holded it! Firmware version is 1.32. I solved it now too: 1) Turn off power. 2) Turn power on and wait 6-10 sec only, not longer! 3) Press and hold reset button till PWR LED starts flickering. AP will be in factory default mode.
First turn on the access point then press RESET/WPs button for 10 seconds then all settings defaults.
Connect your router to computer with ethernet cable then you can access it with following default link.
http://192.168.0.1
or
http://192.168.1.1
If you are not able to access it with above ip then check your computers ip address gateway ip is your router ip try with it.
Then it ask for user name and password.
Type user as "admin" and password as "admin" or "password" or blank.
Then you can see configuration page of router.
.
Click on wireless settings enable wireless then WEP Security then add WEP code .It is your password to connect wi fi.Then save settings and restart router.If you are able to see password in * or # then you need o add new password but if you are able to read it then note down it then you can connect with it.
If you are not able to access router with above ip and user password then press RESET button for 10 seconds it is in back side of router.
Then you can access it with above method.

Thank you again for your reply. I finnaly got the device to be recognized by the PC.
My main problem is that I am trying to get the Acces Point to act as a wireless network for a PC. I am not sure if I need to set it as "Station Ad hoc" or "Station Infrastructure" mode. I tried a few times and it seems to do infrastructure better.
My problem is when I set my WEP password on teh device I cannot connect successfully to my network in the screen where I select it from all other rsirtes. Only after after I clone the mac address it works but then the device does not conenct with the PC at all and I need to reset it.
Can you help me please?

After RESET it access your router with computer .
then go to wireless and security disble MAC security or MAc filterring.
Configur your router as Access point (AP) or infrasturcture mode/
then save settings and restart router then check.
Also enable DHCP in router and then enable Ip get automtic in all computer's netowrk adapter tcp ip property.
Then check.
