Hi I have a 2004 d4d Toyota avensis is driving normally then is starting to produce white smoke and over revving and then when it's switched off it has drained the battery. Have mechanics look at it but still can't figure out the problem or more importantly the solution

Cause of bad charging system.. It's smoke because the engine is overheat because the cooling fan is not working well. The battery is because alternator is working well.
