Hi, I have a 304 NAD amplifier which occasionally distorts on one of the tweeters. I have taken it for repair several times but no one succeeded in fixing it. I have not replaced it because I am so used to its sound and use it to test my (studio) mixes on it. I use it with the NAD 802 speakers. Any idea what might be causing it or which other NAD amp would make a good match for my speakers? Thank you!

Is it on all audio sources or only certain ones? Have you swapped the speakers Left-to-Right to isolate the speaker from the signal chain as a cause?
If it's only an analog source doing it I would suspect a bad audio cable or a switch somewhere in the signal path. Typically, it might be a switch you rarely use, like a Tape Monitor. It's wise to occasionally (with power OFF) operate all manual controls throughput their ranges a number of times to wipe oxides from their contacts.
