Hi I have a Bosch water heater w135 When I turn the hot water tap on the heater will flare up as it should But then after a minute the flame goes out again I was told it’s the glue temperature sensor that has gone but I’m not convinced Does anyone have any idea what it could be wrong please Anne
One possibility - insufficient gas flow or oxygen starvation might be making the pilot light dip when the main flame is on so the thermocouple bulb is no longer heated. This will cause the main flame to go out and restore full pressure/sufficient oxygen to the pilot.
