Hi I have a Honda Varadero 125 and the right hand wing mirror is broken, I have taken it off but to undose clockwise and not anticlockwise like the left hand side, I brought a pair of new mirrors for a Varadero 125 the left one screws on ok but the right hand one screws in clockwise and I need it to screw in anticlockwise, can anyone help me please? What you are describing is a "left-hand thread".
If the correct one is unavailable, you could drill out the hole and install a threaded insert, like a Time-sert:
