Hi, I have a new HDMI monitor set up to my computer but when I plug the HDMI cable in it says "no signal". It disconnects completely when I only have the HDMI cable plugged in. Why would the HDMI cable say there is not signal when plugged in?

I see that you are getting an message ther is no signal on your Flat panel LCD, please follow step below.
* I see that your setup is correct you just need to change the input of your Flat panel LCD.
* There should be bottons infront of your LCD the next botton to the left of the power botton is the input botton click on it and select HDMI. this should show Video coming from the HDMI on this configuration.
* Note: that if your Flat Panel does not have built in speakers on it you may need to use external Speakers on this set-up.
* If your Flat Panel has speaker then you wil have to change some settings in windows to make aduio from HDMI work on your flat panel as well.
Changing audio settings to work for HDMI *
* On the lower right you will see a speaker icon right click on it then select Playback Devices
* In Playback Devices right click on the HDMI on the list and select set as default device
* Restart your computer to make changes take effect make sure the HDMI is conenctedto the computer when restarting.
