Most likely lower control board. This is the circuit board under the plastic hood. Controls the elevation motor. Unless the console has a stuck or faulty elevation button, then the console is not sending an incline signal. When a board goes bad the machine will respond with erratic strategies, elevation on max is one example. When the board is “bad”, it can also not tell it is out of control and won’t throw a code or signal to stop. Boards are just plug and play, very easy to install. Take an image before removing the old board and you should be able to duplicate the harnesses. Fitnessrepairparts.com is where I buy my parts when I don’t have an account with a specific company
