Report "Hi, I have a smeg A2 and a few months ago the main oven needed replacing. I asked smeg which one I needed and ordered the replacement, but not from smeg, however it was a 3 coil instead of 2. I fitted in though and it worked ok for a while, however we started getting a burning plastic smell but we had recently cleaned the stainless steel and thought it was that. I checked all the interior and could see nothing melting or burning. The smell then went but this week the main oven stopped working again and the clock went out. Could this be that the oven element was too high wattage and now needs replaced as well as the thermal cut out?"
