Hi i have a stearing problem the car has a screatching noise when reversing hard could this be the stearing fluid is required or is this a mechanical problem?

Unfortunally that will be a machanical problem, olthough depend what you mean by reverseing hard!
you allways get a bit of a whine/screech when you reverse most cars as reverse gear mesh is flat and non sincro! unlike outher gears!
