Hi i have digi design rack 002 with pro tools le 7.4 software and I just purchased imac 27' with i7 intel processor. i was able to install the software properly but the problem is that the computer is unable to locate the digi 002 rack which is connected with firewire (1394) cable. the firewire connection in the computer is 800 and in the digi rack firewire 400 so I purchased this specific cable but the computer is still unable to find the digi 002 rack and when I run the pro tools software I get the message -"can't find hardware". what should I do ? thanks oren

Try the other port on the 002. If that doesnt work, I recommend trying the 002 on a computer that does have 400 to see if it will connect then.
If it doesnt, then you may have a couple blown firewire chips inside your 002. It happens, and can be fixed.
