Hi I have Formatted my WD12000bevs hard drive and instaled XP when th pc re-boots to complete the instalation i get the XP logo and status bar then the Blue screen of Death with the STOP 0x0000007B code. Can you help I have the HD conected to a Adaptor via USB to my PC Thanks

Do you have a version of XP on the computer internal drive? If so, it may be the version that is trying to run on the reboot, and falling over. Or possibly it just does not like the USB.
Also, running the system from USB has several problems. It will mean the system runs sluggishly as the data rate over USB is not high. Also external drives are prone to being accidentally disconnected, never a good thing for your system drive.
If you want to run XP on that 120GB drive I would; Delete all partitions on it. Remove it from the External enclosure. Install it in your machine as the only drive. Install XP.
This is my standard method for a new XP installation and it's much less grief than any other way. If you are trying to do something different, please tell me.
