Hi i have just brought a new htc wildfire got it home but when i try to charge it the red light comes on for about 1 minute then goes off, i have turned the phone on and half way through sommthing it will turn itself off well the screen gose blank and i have to turne it back on, can any 1 help

Going off what you have said it sounds like a battery issue with it holding it's charge. Do you know anyone else with this phone? If so ask to use their battery to see if it works. If it does then it is your battery, if it doesn't then it is a issue with your phone.
Take it back to the store if it is brand new it should still be in warranty.
