Hi, I have this problem with my dell inspiron N 4010 laptop. Whenever i want to play games on my laptop it either crashes down or after the game is over i get a "Optimum resolution error message". how do i deal with this? please help. I am not a technical person at all so unable to understand the issue

The LCD monitors and laptop monitors nowadays have a 'optimum resolution'. The monitor likes to work at a pre-defined resolution. Games play at a resolution previously set. Usually this differs from the optimum resolution of a LCD/LED screen. Then this error message will appear. However, crashing of the computer might happen due to other reasons. *Defective RAM *Not-so-good VGA *Viruses
You have to make sure the above problems are not the reason for crashes. Also try playing somewhat older games. If the problem occurs due to your VGA not supporting the new games, older games will work fine. Try these suggestions and let us know. Good luck, and thanks for using FixYa!
