Disconnect the car battery.
Find the EGR valve.
Disconnect wiring connector.
Disconnect the air hose and the vacuum hose.
Undo the bolts that secure the EGR valve.
Unscrew the EGR valve from the EGR pipe. You will need to use a wrench.
Clean or replace the valve.
Install a new gasket and EGR valve.
Connect back the battery and test the valve.
