Hi- I'm a new intex above ground metal frame pool owner. I bought the saltwater chlorinator to go with my pool. I constantly have a problem with the pool filter not getting enough water to flow through each pump filter and saltwater chlorinator. I get a message on the saltwater pump that reads 90 and beeps indicating low water flow. How do I get the water to flow through each pump correctly?
Pool & Spa - Intex - 1000 Gallon Swimming Pool Filter Water Pump ()
U may need a bigger pump, smaller pumps that comes with intex pools aren't usually enough to add aditional things to the system. i bought a summer escapes pool from walmart and it was 20 round 8800 gallon and all it came with was a small cartridge filter and a 2000 gallon an hour pump which i had to replace with a sand filter and bigger 1 hp pump to even get it to clean my pool and i had to definetly purchace a bigger pump to add my salt water generator 2 my system. I was out there replacing the cartridge filters on every other day or atleast scrubbin them down and washing them with a hose. They only put the least they can get by with. So my suggestion is invest in a bigger pump and if your water isnt staying clear and u have the same problems as me with having to change thefilters alot i would invest in a sand filter system. U can get a sand filter and pump combo. Ebay is where i purchased mine, cheapest place and they are brand new, saved around 300 dollars. If u dont want to invest in the whole system Ebay sells new pool pumps on there 2. I hope this helps.. Let me know, thanks and good luck God bless
You've gotta keep that annoying filter pretty darn clean to please the saltwater pump. I have to scrub my filters daily for this reason. What pump do you have? Mine is rated for 4000gph but I see Intex even offers support for pumps with as little as 500gph.
