Report "Hi my 156 had variator noise on start up for about 10 secs but driving home stopped and noticed the noise is now very loud tapping like very loud tappets or knackered diesel,ive taken of cambelt cover all looks normal and belt looks recent still has markings on it, also the injector light has come on and takes a few turns to start and is hesitant a and lumpy tickover although still seems to rev okay doesnt overheat or use any oil or water can all this be causeda variator or is there some over prob it literally just went like this with no other probs help please"
