This mediaplayer can't read DTS sound, only AC3.What I do is that I use AudioConverter to change the .mkv files to AC3 sound before playind them. This should solve your problem.

I think this is because your player cannot support the audio format of MKV files as this is a container. You can change the MKV format to some other formats by using a video converter to change.
