Hi my mum has a Huawei U8150 3G phone and the hotspot wont work at all. It wont scan for devices or make itself visible and thats if it even connects at all...? Id really like to help my mum because all any of the phone companies keep telling her is that she HAS to factory reset

Then, if trained technicians listen to your 'issue' with the phone, as you describe it, and you refuse to follow their advice, why are you asking for amateur, volunteer advice to second guess trained competent advice ?
