Hi. My TV has a USB port. Can I plug an external hardrive in there or any where else and view the content like photos and videos. It work if I insert a SD card in the appropriate slot

This Toshiba TV will not support a external hard drive - SD or USB stick only and then keep it below 12gb as it cant handle it
