Hi, on my Rancilio Silvia water flows out of the dispersion screen in 5 large streams... I thought it should spray out with some force - like from a shower. I also have a Saeco and it sprays out and makes better espresso. Is there a fix for my Silvia? Thanks Steve G Washington, DC
Hello. The cause of your problem is a calcium or lime buildup on the dispersion screen. Go to any hardware store and purchase a product called CLR which dissolves calcium, lime, and rust. Then unscrew the screen and soak it in CLR, and finally rinse it thoroughly. Let me know how you make out.
Check the coffe filter>> it could be teard up and leaking(check it carefuly it is hard to see sometimes)
check the pressure you get from group. 7 - 9 bar pressure you should get to handle. if it is biger than check by pas valve and adjust the pressure, also check up boiler security valve(security valve for water for coffee)

Run undiluted white vinegar threw the system, u have mineral deposits, the booklet of most machines recommends this been done on a regular basis.
