Hi The disc tray has remained closed with a dvd still inside. Do I need to take it a repair shop and if so where id the nearest to High Wycombe? Perhaps it is a software problem on the hard drive. Can you help? regards

Have you tried unplugging it and then plugging it back in again ,as for a dealer in high wycombe?' know of a repair shop here in alicante spain .In all honesty the machine isnt worth repairing ,when you can buy a new one with usb and sd card connections for about 40 pounds in the UK .Download your torrents and then copy to a memory stick and watch them that way
There is an easier way to remove the cd from the drive than to visit a professional. There is always a hole in the front of the drive, may be on the try front or just below it. If you insert a paper pit into this hole and press a little when resistance is felt, the tray will slide open as the pin releases the lock. And your CD is sitting there. Happy Holidays.
It has to be there either on the tray front or just below it. Alternatively, go to My Computer and right click on the CD drive icon and select Eject. A number of times if it does not work the first time.
