Hi There, my LaCie is not recognized by my Notebook. I tried everything that's written in the Troubleshooting area of the Manual. So, I can't even format the thing. Thanks a lot for any help

Sorry it is a product that selects compatibility and this is already an issue on the neck of manufacturer.
please return to store and email the manufacturer too.
I had mine returned too.

For that first make sure usb cable working fine.
Then uninstall all usb drivers from your computer.
For that right click on my computer icon then click on property->hardware->device manager then uninstall usb driver then restart computer then check.
Then if still same issue then check in another computer if still same on another computer then your harddrive need repairing at service center.
