Hi there We have a Holden Barina XC. A known problem is the gear change mechanism ball joints pop out on gear selection making gear change impossible. By all accounts the bushes holding in the joints melt over time. Should this design fault be addressed by Holden ie, parts repair and labour be bourn by them? Regards Craig PS Choose a Make and Model on website does not include Holden so I've just picked any car!
Hi No it won't be covered under warranty at least as far as Im aware. The only way to confirm this would be to contact your Holden Dealer. Due to your vehicles age/ mileage Holden only have a responsability for a period of time or use. The model xc i feel will be outside of any perameters for warranty. It does not take to long to fit a new mechanism if done by a mechanic.
