High pitched tone from front end video-audio components
For the last 8 months I have a technical problem with my Liteonit LVW 5045. While watching programs in real time or programs recently recorded, programs are spoiled by a high pitched tone in the sound track. While not a pure tone, the main sound is on ”G” above high ”C”. Older programs recorded months ago have no such tone I wrote this information to your email and received a FAQ sheet. I have been trying to get service from Liteonit; the response given by someone who was totally unable to understand the problem.
Before I bought my Liteonit, I investigated adding two TV I/O cards to one of one of my PC`s (of 8) and using available software, to build my own DVR. From this and a career in electronics, I am pretty sure that the problem is in the front end video and a/d components. Do you have a ”Mail in” service facility that could
repair this unit? Can you provide an estimate of the cost of such repair it? If you do not have the service can you refer me to someone who does? Thanks

I'm sorry to take so long to get back to you, but I've been very busy. I've worked as late as 5:30 a.m. one night. It took me a week to get around to downloading the bio, another to record something - "Guys and Dolls" on TCM - and a day or so to watch it. YOUR SOLUTION WORKED PERFECTLY.
